This is the deep blue job like the old Pythons had.
Nothing like it IMO. It would even look sweet with the slide in the deep blue and the case hardened frame.

Do any manufacturers offer a case hardened frame as a finish on a production pistol or is this strictly a high end custom type of deal?

Uberti offers some pretty cheap SAA replicas with case hardened frames.
I don't see why it would only be high end. It's an inexpensive process.

Thx. I think KR's Colt will look bad arse. I was just wondering if there are any production 1911's with that finish? I goggled it with less than stellar results.

FYI, the case hardening colors will wear off over time from use, but the hardening process will remain. Notice on this gun how the colors have faded. This happens over time but just be aware.
