I'm thinking 2 or 3, I've deleted 1 as an option.

I think it looks the best.

Do they actually case harden it or is it just a finish?

They actually case harden it. It's a crazy process apparently.

I know you are wanting to get a deer with it. What ammo you planning on using?

didn't ask, don't care, that gun is my unicorn gun.

i've wanted a DE since i was about 10 years old and the fact that i got one that was made a year after i was born from the original owner is awesome!

Jeff Cooper is rolling over in his grave. I'll get flamed for this, but do anything beyond nickel plating or bluing, you're a homo. It's a gun, not an accessory.

that pistol will have more rounds fired through it than anything you own, its a tool and i will use it as such.

Quite possibly one of the dumbest things I've ever heard on this board.

Shouldn't cost much.

Heat the entire frame and then quench it in an oil bath.

It's a simple process. One of the older meathods there is of hardening steels.

Charcoal and some other shite packed around it, stick in a furnace.

Don't know if that's what they actually do, but I know originally that's what case hardening was (when it was done for hardness, not looks)
