Coasta Rica would be pretty high up on my list.

Big Lake is great and in my back yard.

But Venice has it all. inshore & offshore

I'd fish the Red River. Lots of places and can catch anything that swims there.

nah, more like south bay or three islands/green island around where the arroyo colorado river meets the bay.

it's actually closer towards the border, hour/hour and a half south of baffin. some great trout, red, drum fishing. numbers wise it doesn't quite compare to some of the catches i've had in and around grand isle or off south la, but the area is challenging and i used to fish there as a kid so it hold a special meaning, ya know?

I fished Baffin twice. First time caught 3 fish in 2 days in February with terrible conditions and the worst guide I have ever seen. Went back that June and was not very confident from the first trip. Had a new guide and on the run to Baffin he stopped under some birds I almost lost it thinking are you serious we are fishing the birds...proceeded to catch 3-4 lb trout(never done that in La) then we ended up catching some 5-7lbers in Baffin. Great fishery but alot different than La.
