Can any of you North MS baws tell me about fishing the Tombigbee?

Me and buddy going up there to hang out with my BIL. He has to work Saturday till lunch so we’re going to look for some bass.
Anyone have any tips? Will be in Aberdeen area

Assume you’re talking about the Tenn-Tom. I’ve fished it where it starts at Pickwick but never that far south.
I’ve caught fish in it with Silver with blue back rattle traps. That’s all I know unfortunately.

Nothing specific, but I'd look at some aerial maps and hit the backwaters. Lot of flooded timber between Amory and Columbus locks.

I would probably skip the Tenn-Tom and go to Lake Monroe if you want to catch fish. Lake Monroe is a state park lake a few miles north west of Aberdeen off Hwy 45. If you want to drink beer and ride go to the Tenn-Tom.

I fished it around aberdeen in the blind.
Started in the ditch of the boat ramp and fished a wider spot with some islands and cuts.
Worm fishing and caught 9 to 10 in a couple hrs.
