Buying land for a fish/hunt camp

I’m purchasing 6 acres of raw land 1/4 mile from Pickwick Lake.
It’s very rural, so I expect it will get robbed occasionally.
Power & water at the road, so utilities will be easy enough.
What is the best option for shelter?
Camper?
Small cabin?
Converted shed/barn?

Are you going to be on the east side?
Do you have a cell signal?

No comments on what to build, but that is beautiful land up there. Family lived up there for a few years and I visited often.

Find an old house in the area that needs to be moved. You’ll get it for a steal.
Or put up a metal carport that you can park a travel trailer under.

You can probably get a rusted out blackstone and a bunch of Hardee’s coupons out of my pantry tote.

We own some hunting property and 15+ years ago I lucked upon an old t-building that had previously been used at a local school. It needed some cosmetic work but structurally it's built like a rock and looks like the day we put it out there

If your cell signal is good enough get you some cellular trail cameras with cables and put them up with signs.
My in-laws live on the river right outside of yellow creek.

Had a buddy that got a larger wooden storage shed from Home Depot and put it a few feet off the ground. Finished the inside out and has enough room for a tight bathroom, with shower head, a small kitchen and can get 3 cots put on rest at night when needed. Surprised how much room he got out of it. Running a generator as needed with it. Put a window unit that keeps it decent temp and can warm it with electric stove at night.

Any restrictions? Make sure you get them in writing, even if they’re minor.

Find a good used travel trailer with slide. One that has a good sized holding tank. Get a utility pole and water meter.
Like someone said. Construct a covered metal roof and slab to park it under. Take it back home when leaving and empty holding tank.

Make sure to put your feeder on the property line.
