Hello,
Im about to get a new semiautomatic 12 shotung camo,
I would like your recomandations, for essentially wild boar, dove.
As i started some reasearches, the best 12 browning is the new A5, and the best benelli right now seems to be the SBE 3.
But im not really sur about my choice, so can you pease help with some recomandations?

I'm a Browning fan, so my opinion would be biased. I also do not shoot semi-autos.
In summary, don't pay any attention to me.

Can not go wrong with the 3 B's
go and shoulder each of them and play with all the buttons and features and see which one you fall in love with

Once you get north of $1200 and are looking at the three B's...its splitting hairs between features fit and feel. Everyone will have a favorite they swear is the best. Go to a store and hold them all, cycle them all. Look at the ergonomics for YOU.
I've shot my Maxus so much it feels like an extension of my body. My favorite dove/pheasant gun is a 30 yr old A5 20ga. Ive got a HK Fabarm O/U that is a rabbit/squirrel machine. My buddy swears by is SBE2, the other one wont touch anything other than berettas. And they're all right.

actually, if you do a search on past OB threads, this is discussed in depth every summer as Labor Day dove opener approaches.

1st you need to decide if you want a gas or inertia driven shotgun. That will narrow down your search.. but as stated, stick with 3 Bs... im a benelli guy, but all 3 are quality guns

I love my browning maxus. Had it since 2013, and have put no telling how many rounds through it

Some peoole think the SBE2 is better.
The new Browning A5 is effectively a Benelli inertia gun without the Comfortech recoil reduction system. I do like that Browning sells a 16 gauge.
I prefer Benelli semi autos. Find the one that fits you best!
Also, always keep a Benelli oiled per ths instructions in the manual.

I have Browning, Berretta, Benelli, Winchester, and a Franchi all in 12 gauge semi auto and they are all great guns. Personally, I love my Benelli M2 to death and wouldnt trade it for the world. It is 14 seasons in of very hard hunting and the only things ive had to replace are 2 springs. Ive also found that the SX3 and 4 (both fantastic shooting guns for a lower price tag) are very similar to the Browning Maxxus if thats what you are looking at. the new A5 is a different animal and truthfuly, maybe because im a shotgun purist and love the original Auto 5 design,im not a fan at all of having the looks of a hump back gun with different mechanics of the original. With all that being said, I advise to find someone close to you who has those guns youre looking at ask if you can shoot them before you buy. Best of luck in the search

Browning for rifle
Benelli for shotgun, especially for duck hunting

I’d go with Beretta Extrema 400. The gun has never misfired and with the 28 inch barrel it’s a little heavy, but again it shoots every time. I’ve shot them all. It’s my favorite.

Like others have said you can't go wrong with a Benelli, Beretta or Browning.
I have an SBEII and it is a machine. Last dove opener I probably cycled through 3 boxes of cheaper, low-brass shells and 6 or so boxes of target loads and didn't have any issues. Its a beast.

I have the Benelli Montefeltro and love it. Lightweight, tracks well and has never let me down.

Beretta Xtrema for me. Fine firearm.

Y’all must have a lot of Eurasian doves. Where I hunt the limit is 12 and it usually only takes me about 4 boxes.

Yep we have a good bit. My shooting is also pretty average unless I am under the power line

Three B’s for sure. I love my Beretta. But have nothing against the other two.

I don’t see the point in dropping the money to go from my SBEII to the III. If I was having problems shooting the II I don’t think I’ll be any better with the III

If someone were to purchase a Browning “all around” shotgun, what would you choose?
