Threadlocker on sbe3 camo picatinny mount

Posted by piero on 10/21/19 at 6:24 am
Hello,

I have a sbe 3 realtree camo shotgun, and i just bought the picatinny rail to put the aimpoint on it.

I have to do it myself, and as i searched on internet, many people are recommanding to put threadlocker on the rail like in the picture,
.

I was wondering if this could affect, scratch or stripe the camo when i remove it or no?
Do you recommande me to put it, Or just put the rail without anything?

Ps:it is not permanent rail, i will remove it for some hunts

I guess i have to just practice aiming with the sbe 3:) i used to hunt with a browning a5 holding center at 30 yard was directly in the middle of the target. It is not the same thing with benelli i assume...
i will try to adjust aiming with slug the way benelli works:)

I was shooting at 20 yards, and aiming at the green point. The 2 up with C choke, the 2 in the middle with IC, and the closest ones with M choke.

All the shots went high with nearly 7 inch from the center at only 20 yards, expect that one when i shot six’o clock hold.

(The green point is a 20 cm cercle)

Six O' clok hold VS center hold

Hello everybody,

I have a problem pattering my sbe3.

I tried pattern it for wild boar (slug shells),24 inches barrel, with C/IC/M chokes, using the CTK Precision Gun Vise, and i found out that all my shots are a litte high.

I was aimint center hold, and then i figured out that aiming Six O' clok hold gets me right in the target.

The problem is that im not used to hunt with Six O' clok hold, do you have any idea or suggestions on how to make my gun shoot low with the center hold?

I agree with you, and the 6 moa is one of reasons that makes me wonder.

6 moa is a big dot for deers or wild hog... the micro h2 is a close aimpoint, but it has 2/4/6 moa, while the s1 is only with 6 moa, it is good for birds and that's it.

A wild hog at 40m distance can be a problem with 6 moa, no?

All i need to know, is the difference between the 2 mounts ( having a close aimpoint or a far )

Im hunting birds and deer, and that's why im asking

I want to choose between the micro s1 and micro h2

The micro s1 can be placed on the rib, close or far, but the micro h2 will be only close like the burris fastfire.

My worries are about the distance, if i put it on the picatinny ( close) it can help me for fast targetting, but idk if it reduces the view or not.

Aimpoint picatinny vs ventiled rib

Hello,

Im about to buy one aimpoint for my shotgun.

I can mount the picatinny one (like the micro h2) or the ventiled rib one (the micro s1), but im not sure what to choose.

1* Since the distance between the hunter and the dot is not the same for each one, i would like to know witch mount is better to acquire the target fast, and for overall hunting?

2* Is it better to choose the picatinny (close AB distance) or the ventiled rib (far AB distance) for better performance .

Thanks

No mate, im still trying to pick the one decision :) this could be my last request, because i have to buy one next week:)

Vote for the best Semi-automatique 12GA .

Hello,

I would like to know what do you think is the most versatil 12GA shotgun in the list.

I m looking for a one life shotgun, to hunt wild boar/dove/argentina, because in my country i cant buy more than one shotgun.

Despite of inertie and gas systems wich one would you choose between those guns:

1.Beretta a 400 xtrem plus
2.Beretta a 400 lite
2.Benelli SBE3
3.Benelli m2
4.Benelli montefeltro colombo
5.Benelli Raffaelo academie
6.Benelli Raffaelo Be diamond

Just ranks them.

Thanks

Beretta a 400 xtrem plus chamber

Hello,
I would like to have some informations about the chamber of a gun.
Im about to buy the A400 xtrem plus, and it comes only with 89 chamber, but the problem is that in my country only 70mm shells are availble. My questions are :

1* What could happen, if i shoot a 70 shell (slug or bird) in a 89 mm chambred gun?does it hurt the barrel?

2* I would use the gun for every thing, so can i shoot a slug 70m shell (for deers or boar) in the 89mm chamber?

3* Will beretta make a slug barrel for this version?

Thanks
Yeah, im from europe, and i really dont know how i found this board :) maybe while searching for some informations i ended up singing here and asking :)
The slug barrel, is one of my options, i will buy 2, the 71 or 76 and the slug for pigs. But i would like to ask something, is the 66 one on the beretta considered as a slug? or it is a shorter barrel?

it is the raffaello Be diamond, new one.

Hello everybody,

I would like to have your opinions on some shotguns,

Im about to buy a 12 semiautomatic shotgun...too many choices:)

The shotgun will be used mainly for boar, and dove.

Here is the list of shotguns that im focusing on :

1-Beretta a400 xtrem plus
2-Benelli SBE3
3-Benelli be diamond
4-Benelli m2
5-Browning a5(new)
6-Browning maxus

Expect the fact that one is gaz and the other is inertie,
I would like to know witch one would you choose :)

Personally i would go with the gaz so the beretta or maxus, because at same clean statu, the gaz is way better than inertie ( recoil and stability) but i could change my mind for inertie too, it has better endurance and with the new recoil systemes that benelli provides, gaz and inertie recoil could be quit similar.

But for performance, durability, and stability witch one would be the better?

Thanks

Edit: i will shoot 3" and less, since the 3" 1/2 is rare in my country, and most of the new guns are 3" 1/2 chambred, i hope it will not affect the performance

browning vs benelli

Hello,

Im about to get a new semiautomatic 12 shotung camo,

I would like your recomandations, for essentially wild boar, dove.

As i started some reasearches, the best 12 browning is the new A5, and the best benelli right now seems to be the SBE 3.

But im not really sur about my choice, so can you pease help with some recomandations?
