Does the Magnum have the same brass rings?

Here's the link. I can't link it from the office because of work filters.

I need to take a look at that because mine can be downright painful to shoot....

Like I said, I'm going to have mine restored pretty soon. The barrel and reciever need to be reblued and the wood needs some attention. I've seen some nice original sets online for about $300.

Supposedly Browning will reblue it for you and you won't lose any of the value vs. Joe down the street rebluing it for you...

I was told by a pawn broker yesterday that it will run you $350.

If I'm going to restore it I'm going to do it right. I always figured when I got around to doing it I'd budget $500.

I need to send them my B-80 and see what they can do with it. It went under in Katrina and the barrel blue is spotted.

My dad has a ton of A-5s. He's got an unshot Belgian trio, 20-16-12, a DU 16 and a few 12s he shoots.

Nice buy... I have a 12 ga mag full choke and a 20 ga mag mod choke, both belgian made and good condition. I like them because they both would shoot 3 inch, if I ever shot them. I shoot my benelli 98% of the time...

I want a sweet 16... but haven't found the right deal on one yet.

Had a sweet 16 for a while (Japanese)with screw in chokes. It had a hardened barrel so you could shoot steel for ducks. At least a few years ago, these barrels weren't available for the Belgian Brownings. If you're a collector, they are worth having. If you're a pure hunter, they just kick too much for day in day out use. I'd recommend a Benelli SBE or Super 90.

I have a 16 and a 12, I don't use them in the field anymore. Too heavy and no interchangeable chokes. They were my dad's and I'll keep them forever. I pull them out the closet once a year and wipe them down with oil.

I saw a Belgium 12 gauge 3" A-5 at a gun show a few years ago for $1000, new condition, in the original box. It was sweet, I almost bought it.

I'll stick with my Berettas in the field, they are much more functional.

I bought a Belgium 12 guage 3" in 1969 or 70, paid $150 for it brand new. Wish I would have bought 10 of them & kept them new.

Glad to know it can be reconditioned without destroying the value. Plan on giving it to my grandson in the near future.

I have a Belgian made light twelve and love it. I only take it clay shooting and pheasant hunting. For $500 I don't think you can go wrong.

My son has a Savage Model 720, which is a WW2 version of the A-5. Kills the ducks, but kicks like a horse.
