Briggs and Stratton having issue with 37 Vanguard EFI (Gator Tail)

Dear Valued Customers, This letter is to inform our customers of a voltage regulator issue on some Briggs & Stratton engines that were built between July 2017 and February 2018. The voltage regulator could fail, resulting in burnt regulators, melted wiring and in some cases fire.

Gator Tail as a company took immediate action towards this on February 2nd 2018 and asked for all customers who owned motors that were built in the suspected time period to immediately unhook the battery cables to prevent a potential fire hazard. We understand that this has been a major inconvenience to you as a customer and for that we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. The issue was completely out of our control and we have worked very closely with Briggs & Stratton to get these problems resolved.
