I don't know. I'm not a lawyer. I have full faith that BP can afford better lawyers than me who could figure it out though.

I'm amazed that so many here see nothing wrong with taking a check for this.

Look at his posts. He's calling individuals trashy POS's, etc. It's fine he has a problem with it but he's going about it the wrong way.

BP can afford the best lawyers out there. They still agreed to a shitty deal.

I don't really give a shite if someone does or not. I'm not going to sling shite and judge others that do, though.

BP fricked up big time and they are paying the price.

Come on man. Obviously I'm just trolling a little (wonder if BP will pay me for trolling the webz ) . I don't even expect to get much if anything. My post went from hydraulic steering, to power poles, to a new boat. Obvious sarcasm is obvious.

I'm just with motorboat on this one. Fits the criteria, take the possible check. The more people that take it, the more tax will be put back in Louisiana.

That's fine. It's an understandable position. I just don't give a shite either way.

if I met the criteria, I would not take the money simply because I missed a few months of fishing

you can take the money all you want, but don't get upset when some people call you out on it for being complete bullshite

So taking money from a company based in England, (that will not put a dent in their pocket) and getting state and federal taxes taken out, put back in to Louisiana, is such a horrible thing because we should have morals? They did the damage and put the money aside for this, so I'm a horrible person for taking it?

Nothing to be upset about when your camp that you paid monthly fees on was in the dead center of the "DO NOT FISH" zone.

Yes you should have some morals and pride and not take it. It's just an example of people jumping on free shite because it's free.

When you suffered no damages, yes.

I'm quite sure BP has something in place to compensate those who own or lease affected properties.

Oftentimes those properties are outside of the zone. Saw it a bunch in Grand Isle.
