frick you.

This is a direct hit on BP for the scumbags they are. If a POS company wants to pay me for having a fishing license, I'll take it.

If TX brine has agreed to pay these types of claims and you think TX brine are pieces of shite, sure, why not?

There was a lot of money lost on the coast due to not being able to rec. fish. I would bet 3ks worth. so if they hand out a 3k check, i firmly believe that some of that money will end up in the affected community.

Because my moral compass knows that I was very slightly inconvenienced and I don't need any monetary compensation for what happened.

There are people who were genuinely negatively affected. Don't waste the company's time and money dealing with your petty bs.

I hope BP finds a way to come back back and blasts those who took checks for no reason other than it was offered.

The money I get if any, will be put back towards fishing and hunting regardless. Like he said, there is a certain criteria they set, if you meet it, why not? Not everyone is an OT baller, and even though its 5 years later, maybe my new dual power poles will aid in helping the next oil spill and clean up.
This is coming from a person who actually helps and gives back to the coast, though crab trap clean-ups, CCA and any other thing I can help out with.

There are definitely people who took significant monetary compensation who were not affected and I hope they have to pay it back double for being trashy leeches.

Did you have a fishing license? Why yes, lifetime.
Do you live in Lafourche or Terrebonne Parish? Why yes, my whole life.
Were you able to fish for reds and specks out of Dularge, Cocodrie, and PAC (where I usually saltwater fish) during the months that the spill was going on? Nope.

Here's your check.
The whole process was as simple as that. How can they disprove any of that again?

New boat, here I come!

Ok. And why would they have to pay it back?

You're a shitbag if you would take that check. Make up whatever obtuse lawyer argument you'd like to justify it, but you're a shitbag if you take it because you couldn't rec fish certain areas.
