One bit of advice would be to practice, practice, practice.
Buy some cheap ammo so you'll experience a jam and have to figure out how to clear it.
And congrats on the purchase and welcome to the club. It's addictive.

Same here. I like em down to earth and not afraid to get dirty. High maintenance isn't for me. Carrying their own backpack into the woods is also a must for me.

A number of my friends are in law enforcement and work at the range I shoot at. They offered to buy me ammo in bulk, and trust me, I'm taking them up on their offer
I told my friends if they need me for the next few weeks, they can find me at the range. All I'm going to be doing is practicing. I love it.
ETA: All of y'all are describing the type of woman I am btw. Just offering that onto the table.
