Homefront: the Voice of freedom

Lights Out

Patriots: A novel of survival in the coming collapse

I've read them all and they are great, along with once second after. Patriots has some great info in it, and at times it almost reads like a how to manual.

Alas Babylon, was the precursor to the current ones. The Ruskies, nuked Jax Naval Airbase and Kings Bay, which in turned killed my town.

Just like One Second After, Alas, describes wondering gangs of starving people trying to get off the peninsula and into the heartland.

77 Days in September is good and it is 3-4 bucks on Kindle. I was a little skeptical since it was self-published (so much of that stuff is unreadable), but it is fairly well written and accurate.

That author has a survival blog on the internet with printable PDFs and many other books. I think I'm going to start reading the "founders" series.

JW Rawles is the man. Survivalblog is a site I read almost daily. Some pretty cool ideas for the homestead come up pretty often and the product reviews are solid. Became a nickel collector too.

I read Patriots also. You were correct that it does read like a manual at times. So much real information and how to's to go with a great storyline. I consider it the gold standard as far as these novels go. I gave it to my neighbor who is a retired Ranger. He hates to read but read the book in 4 days and loved it as well.
