Where is the best place to see what a boat is worth? I looked on NADA but it doesn't allow for the extras that will add considerable value. Thanks.

Extras don't add near the value you think they do .

I was able to add them for my boat. What do you have that you cannot add?

Things like a powerpole, new upgraded electronics and new upgraded trolling motor.

I mean sure he's not gonna get what he paid for the upgrades, but accessories have changed a lot in the last 5 years. They definitely add considerable value to the boat.

So, NADA looks at the year of the boat and uses what I assume to be standard equipment for that year. My boat is a 2008 Skeeter. The standard electronics were a lowrance x135 in the dash and nothing up front. I now have HELIX 10 MEGA SI at the dash and HELIX 10 MEGA DI at the bow. Are you saying that is not a considerable upgrade? They didn't even have powerpoles back then. The standard trolling motor was a maxxum. I now have a 80/52 Ultrex. Again not a considerable upgrade? NADA also doesn't ask about hours on the motor. Is that not important?

$5000

Could be for large modern electronics with DI/SI, dual powerpoles, and integrated trolling motor.

That stuff could easily add up to $10K+ installed.

I just went on NADA's website and for GPS - Color Fixed Mount w/Cartography NADA has a $1000 value. What value are you looking for?

NADA also has a category for shallow water anchor. Value is $1000. You sure you know how to use the NADA website?

All those things are honestly only worth maybe 1k-2k on a used boat, upgrades like that don't really add much value, they will help you get a quicker sale though.

You are 100% spot on with extras, pp, gps, new glitter really doesn't factor into the price. You will be giving them away below wholesale.

It doesn’t allow it because they don’t add enough to consider
