I have been fishing in Lafitte for years but it's only catfish and saltwater species.

Where can I go other than city park and get some panfish? I am willing to drive 45 mins to an hour.

Several areas where you can access it from either suction off Airline. You can park at the boat launch on either side and find spots. Not sure how much river water is flowing through the Spillway right now, even though it's not formally opened the water pours through the pins at this river level.
