Black Coyotes?

Are they rare? I have two on camera.

We have at least one around our camp. They are somewhat rare, but it's not unthinkable to see them.

Don't know that I would call them rare but wouldn't call them common either if that makes any sense I have seen quite a few over the years including one in Venice two weeks ago....

I know someone who lives a little north of Carrierre, MS and he has claimed that he has seen a black coyote several times around the pond in his pasture.

That is obviously not the.normal color of a coyote, but they do turn up from time to time...I have killed two over the years....
I actually think the black ones are just coyotes crossed with dark colored domestic dogs....

Almost shot one.... But it ran up to the truck. Turned out to be the ranch hands black collie dog. Glad i didnt shoot.

I saw a black deer (doe i think)near Hattiesburg about two months ago.

My son and I saw a huge black coyote running some deer around in the CRP on river north of Vicksburg.
