On more than one occasion when we had a big group there with several boats going out, he caught limits or close to it when the rest of us were barely catching anything.

I fished with most of the ones that have been around for awhile. Erik Rue screwed me with bait and switch on the guides, conned me into coming back for him to make it right, screwed me again. Good experiences with some of the guys out of Hackberry, but it was more of a corporate setup and some of the guides I've ended up with were novices.

Jeff and Mary are far and away the best. Always caught bigger fish with Mary, but she's, shall we say, wound up a little tight, while Jeff is way more laid back. He always made my clients and I feel so comfortable, and he honestly doesn't care if he catches a single fish, as long as his customers are. One of the best I've ever fished with.

Also not a fan of Erik Rue. Total prick on the water if you are fishing close by.

I was there Sunday it sucked. There was a guide that went behind the weirs and caught. I heard the trout are in the marsh right now so ask the guide if he fishes the marsh before you go. Water is too fresh right now. I fished with my guide buddy and I caught 3 nice trout and 2 reds, one was beautiful, all orange, my buddy caught 1 fish all day..All report I got were from the marsh.

You need to track to JMSmoke, he fishes out of there a good bit. I hate fishing BL on weekend, but mid week that place is stupid good. I'm waiting for a call, them I'm going to wade it.

Ican, I booked with guides in the past who also led me to believe I was to fish with them, only to be passed off to someone else. Very unethical in my opinion. I would not book thru them again.

People were wading the east bank of West Cove sunday. They usually wade the southeast bank of Turner's but the water is ugly...
