Yes indeed. It's an amazon off shoot. Sort of an Amazon clearance site. I've ordered lots of shite from them. It's legit.

You get some, if not all the of the customer benefits of being an amazon Prime mbr.

Oh and here's another at Walmart. It's an older model but still excellent.

I like that they changed it to a black reel instead of blue too

I wouldn't do Med -Heavy if your fishing trout. To stiff for trout mouths.

Do that. More for those of us who love them! Have reds bend them into a pretzel and they don’t break. But I also net most keeper reds and only hoist fish under 2 lbs.

Unless the Daiwa website is lying to me they changed the color to black and reduced the number of bearings. Come on, Daiwa.

Older blue Coastal: 2CRBB+5BB + 1
New black Coastal: 4CRBB + 1

Everything else looks the same.

New frame design and material. Top plate has an impression for thumb. Overall smaller I guess? I wonder they don’t list weight on the new one

Doby,

I have a charter boat buddy that uses the flouracarbon set up. What brand do you recommend?

The battle 3 is a good set up I have 3 or 4 of them. That said I would get a solid shimano reel and then just go feel out some rods to match

I like spinning.

Favorite set up rn is uglysticj inshore select 7’6” and pfluger president 35 I have 6 of them 3 with 15lb green braid for freshwater and 3 with yellow 30lb braid for salt.

Keeps its easy for me. I normally always have them set up like this
1 frog 1 top water
1 rattler/buzz/chatter 1 jig head for swim bait of my choice
1 Texas rig 1 naked circle hook

A fair amount of posts reference a 7’6” rod. Any particular reason for the preference? I’ve never really fished with any rod that long before.

Please state method of fishing with your answer. Thanks!
