Well thats basically like striking them with lightning

Its great that bullet tech has finally caught up to the shite Roy weatherby came up with a long time ago.

I'm thinking a BPS.

that’s what I grew up shooting, it has bottom eject.
after that I went to a citori O/U

but I never have an issue with rifle cartridge eject across my face even with semi auto. It’s really the stock and cheek weld that matters and left hand rifle stocks make a huge difference

Savage 110s always came off as clunky to me. The price was right, the accuracy was there, but I always eventually got tired of them and moved on.

Maybe that has changed more recently, I have not looked at them in a long time.

I own Brownings, Rugers , Remingtons, Marlin , Winchester M70 and a Mauser98 . I have shot Tikka, Savage and Weatherby. Throw out the 98 due to your budget and the Winchester M70 is heads and shoulders above the rest IMO.

Whatever cheap bolt action rifle you find at academy (ruger American, savage whatever, mossberg, etc) and spend the rest on scope/mounts/ammo

Agreed. They don't get nearly the love they deserve.

You can get a CRF, fiberglass aluminum bedded stocked stainless steel rifle for $1000. Thats the best deal going. That stock alone is over $300 street price, and my biggest knock against just about every rifle on the market right now is Tupperware stocks or shite wood stocks.
