Cadello, now you've got me interested. My Big Lake fishing over the years has mostly been September-early November, so extending that into December and January would be cool.

Salinity reached 15 earlier but it's back down to 5.
As long as it doesn't bottom out like it did in the spring we should be ok.

Benoit is behind St. Martinville and Catahoula. You drive along the levee until you see a sign that says bayou Benoit then cross the levee and it is right there. I love fishing Benoit because you can go pretty much anywhere if you want to run, but some great areas are very close as well.

Heard Verett on the south side was good. Henderson is really low and heard some issues about the launch

I haven't put in down there, but I'm game to find it...
guess I could try in the south end of the lake, then work back up to Cracker Head.
Sure would like to put a few fish in my newish boat.
