Cadello, now you've got me interested. My Big Lake fishing over the years has mostly been September-early November, so extending that into December and January would be cool.

If we stay in a drought, it's on.
Salinity reached 15 earlier but it's back down to 5.
As long as it doesn't bottom out like it did in the spring we should be ok.

Benoit is behind St. Martinville and Catahoula. You drive along the levee until you see a sign that says bayou Benoit then cross the levee and it is right there. I love fishing Benoit because you can go pretty much anywhere if you want to run, but some great areas are very close as well.

I'll join you sometime, Cadello.

Winter is my slow work time...

ETA: Not cajun, but can afford gas AND beer.

Trying to decide between Henderson and Verret for tomorrow myself.

Any news on either from the weekend?

Heard Verett on the south side was good. Henderson is really low and heard some issues about the launch

Like in the lake?

I haven't put in down there, but I'm game to find it...

guess I could try in the south end of the lake, then work back up to Cracker Head.

Sure would like to put a few fish in my newish boat.
