Cadello,
I fish on weekdays mostly. Fish from bell river landing in the spillway. Big fork, shell cuts, etc. I'd love to follow u from my boat for a tour. I'd return the favor in Cataouche if you'd like.

The trout should be there unless we get a really rainy season or a hurricane.
I caught over a thousand last year and that's probably a modest estimate since 2 trips I caught over 100 by myself each day.
I fished at least 40 times and we limited (15) per person most of the time.
We would catch and release the rest of the day just to keep fishing.
I took people that never caught a trout before and they caught plenty.
We fished only artificial...no live bait.

Cadello I was asking because I'm looking for a spot in the yak tomorrow, anything more than a few miles from a launch and I'm toast.
I'll try to find it in one of my old pack and paddle books. If I get any detail I'll post it up for the rest.

Went to Chicot park cuz the ole lady wanted to go "fishing" caught one over the slot. Close to 5lbs... nothing worth bragging..
Chicot is the hardest place I ever fished.
Won my first tournament there.
Only had 2 over and the rest of the club combined only had 1 over.
I had 3 bites all day.

Only fished saltwater(brackish) a few times. Yes sir served 4 years. I enjoy fishing. Did a lot when I was a kid mostly bream n catfish. But I started bass fishing bout 3 years ago n it helped with my PTSD and my anxiety. I def pitch in on a trip... I just enjoy fishing.

I'd like to fish with you, but if you cause trouble...I dunno. Fish ain't worth my life.
I never look for trouble, but I'm not apologizing for something I didn't do either.
This is still America.

Across the levee from Fausse, lots of areas to war launch off the road. Looks like I may choose that area tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up, I owe you one.
I can turn you on to fish in Saline/Larto if you get that way. Our camp is on Cross Creek Bayou.

I def pitch in on a trip.
Usually $20.
If they meet me at the launch then nothing.
We fish within a mile from the launch.
Trout usually bite best when it's cold (Dec-Jan)
That's when we catch our biggest ones.

Gas is not a problem man. That's really not much considering how awesome it is to go and actually catch fish.
