this is the first time in many years i'll be driving there, and i'll be navigating myself, with my little girl. i'm nervous. i'm looking at the map and there are a lot of turns. should i look out for anywhere particular that i might take a wrong turn at?

and what is this toll bridge thing about?

One thing will never change, don't speed anywhere near Golden Meadow.

Toll bridge is easier, take it.

Toll Bridge, pull off the side of road and pay. I found it to be kinda weird. Cost $2.50. We went to bobby lynns marina in leeville last weekend and payed the toll and we didn't even have to cross the bridge

I didn't see a single Golden Meadow cop during the three days I was there earlier this week.

this.

stay on 308 until you can get to the beginning of 3235. I believe you cross the draw bridge right at the intracostal.

Like others stated, don't speed through Golden Meadow.

By don't speed, they mean not even one over. Your best bet is going a couple under.

Thats the town I was thinking of.

Get off 308 onto LA 1 right before Larose. Once you cross the intracostal you take the left hand turn at the bottom of the bridge. Its pretty much a U-turn. Take a left at the stop sign, and the take a left on 3235 about a quarter mile down.

I don't know a whole lot of road numbers, just learned from repetition.

ETA: I also pay the toll on my way out of town. Golden Meadow has some new building off the road that you can pay cash at. But you can pay the toll at pretty much any marina from Leeville to Grand Isle. The only problem with those is they only take card.

This.

I missed it last year and decided to not turn around. When the cameras were flashing, it reminded me I may be in trouble. New truck, no tags!!!

No need to stop and pay, you can do so online before or with 96 hours of passing. Geauxpass.com I believe.

You can pay on the way back. You just type in your plate # and the day you crossed the toll bridge. I believe its only active for 5 days so if you plan on staying more than 5 days you need to pay in advance.

Thanks!

You know how women are with directions
I will probably still get lost. Are there gas stations to stop and ask at if I do?
