Bass Not Allowing New FFS In Some Touraments

Looking like BASS has banned the new lvs 42 and 44 for some qualifying tournaments this year.
Guess public outcry and loss of revenue making BASS finally wake up!!!
I get it that these 3 major companies (Garmin, Humminbird, Lowrance) pump thousands of dollars into BASS but when you lose your following you have to start listening.

My take is the only revenue lost is for the few tournament anglers. John Q gonna snap that shite up immediately. I’m for banning it all at highest level.

I think they're just at the point where they feel they can limit the tech to what's currently out now while all 3 of their sponsors are on an even playing field
Same thing golf does where they re-evaluate the tech and try to keep it competitive between brands without ruining the game. I saw the new thing is limiting ball/drivers to try and cut down the driving distance, this is the fishing version of that.

It's not that much better. The image will be stitched together better and there is no need for a black box because that is now in the transducer. A unit, a transducer and a power source.
I ordered a system because my LVS 34 and unit are going into the Pontoon boat.

Professional Bass Fishing is really nothing more than an all day infomercial. It's design to hook fisherman on the latest greatest baits, electronics, boats etc... it's not an observer sport where you can sell tickets for attendance. Surprised that the electronics manufacturers continue to pump money into it when they ban the latest greatest. Trolling motors would only cost $2K instead of $4k if the manufacturers weren't basically funding the pro tours. BPS could cut their prices 20% at least but, again, they sponsor all the tours because they are basically 8 hr commercials.
ETA ... a fully equipped Ranger 21ft is now north of $110K. Total insanity but as long as dumbasses keep buying them on 15 years notes...

I have always owned a bass boat and fish every chance I can. Fished some local tournaments and clubs but learned fast that as soon as you introduce $$$ into the equation, people lose their integrity. Seen guys cheat in nothing more than bragging rights tournaments. You can buy a 75in TV with 4k resolution for $500. No reason a 13in Garmin 9213 is $5k.
