Weather should be pretty good. Solid pre-spawn patterns should be in play and I bet a few fish will be pushing up by the end of next week.

Going to miss attending my first classic in five years, not too upset, I felt like the Tulsa experience and expo was the worst out of all the classics Ive been to. Im picking Palaniuk to give it hell, last time at Grand he came awfully close to winning it and he seems to do good at northern fisheries. I would love to see Hackney do something tho.

Hard to ever bet against KVD in one of these. You'd have to think Martens would pull one off eventually.

I'll be pulling for Ott and Greg.

Agreed, Tulsa just does not have the Venue or air about it to pull off a great classic. Bass fishing just doesn't fit well there.

Agree, Pace, Christie, and Ike have to be up there...Pace won last time, and Ike was great the first couple days, just has to not choke on the last day. Christie should be up at the top, and I don't know if Cherry is back, but he lost fish on the jerk bait last time that would have gave him the Classic back in 2013, but he was on them...

I like Martens in this one. Guy was on fire to finish last year.

Bill Dance......he just needs to learn to get the fish in the boat faster once he hooks a big one.

Been going to Classics since 1990 or so and
We are leaving for there on Wednesday and will be at the launch site Saturday morning. Friday I'll be riding along with Boyd Duckett. So if you want to know more.....send me an e-mail fishingfloridaradio@gmail.com
and I'll have more info LOL

Edwin Evers should do very well talked with him last Saturday morning, Bobby Lane, Skeet, Hackney, Brandon are in it.....Jason Christie is going to be tough as well. Ike is always a threat too.

Tulsa was fine as a venue......BOK Center and expo were better than a lot of them.....Biggest thing is 92.5 miles from town to the launch site and unlike 2013 it's not going to 15 degrees at launch. I was with Skeet that year......it was miserable till about 11a

I'm biased, but Shreveport is hard to beat for a Classic venue, all things considered (fishery, convention center, arena, hotels, & proximity between all of those things).

Did he win with the Ugly Otter soft plastic one year?

This is my biggest beef with Tulsa. I lived in Shreveport when both the classic and the cup were there and it was great.

In Tulsa, the population center is over an hour from the launch site and I think it kills some of the buzz.

His brother, Chris Lane, was throwing that when he won on the Red River several years ago.
