Fell into going on a hunt the first week of December in Arnett Oklahoma. It’s up near the top of the Texas panhandle. Anyone been to this area? It will be whitetail but from what i read they see some Muleys ever so often.

I lived in Garden City, Kansas, when I was a kid, not too far north. Big whitetails, occasional Muley’s. Some pheasants running around as well.

Good luck, you should have a blast.

I've hunted a bunch of times across the Red River from there (Crowell, TX/2 hrs), big country and big deer.

It's wide open and cold when the wind blows, take plenty of cloths

You'll see more deer than you know what to do with

Some buddies and I bow hunted in Arnett a couple years ago. What is the guides name you are going with? I bet it’s the same guy.

You'll enjoy it and you will see plenty of deer. It was in the teens this morning and has been in the mid twenties for most of the week. The winds have been in the 20-30MPH range, which is normal for this area. Dress warm.

Yep that’s him. I think his name is Keith. We saw deer but none of us shoot a buck. One friend had a buck in bow range but didn’t shoot because he was waiting for something bigger. Kicked himself in the arse the entire ride home!

We were there for a week and made a morning and afternoon hunt everyday. They have access to lots of property. I don’t think he was use to guys wanting to kill a doe. We wanted to bring something home and we ended up killing 2 does.

I can tell you he took us on a duck hunt one morning and that is still one of the best duck hunts I have ever been on.

If we would of went during rifle season we would of all shoot nice bucks. Just didn’t see that many in bow range.

Headed up tomorrow to hunt Wednesday. Been seeing some big boys drilled up there, hoping our luck continues.
