Will this work on a slow leak? Is this a good idea?

Do you need to know where the hole is to use Slime?

Nope I rather fix them right. Whether it be reseating the bead, valve stem or plug. That slime is a nightmare if you swap tires later. Ain’t good on the wheels. An imo seldomly does its job.

ETA:

Well with the load of downvotes I’ll give y’all something better than Slime if yall are set on that.

Tire Sealant

I used tireject, it’s made to be a sealant instead of a temporary fix and has stopped all slow bead leaks for me. Haven’t had to fool with my tires in 3 years of hard use. I got it off Amazon.

I hunt far west Texas with a ton of mesquite, cactus & other thorny shite. Slime is the answer

The slime, yes. No issues with it all season (started at the beginning of whitetail)

Used a qt in mine after Laura, literally hundreds of tiny holes from all of the roofing nails in our yard. I have one that probably needs another dose 3 years later.

Alright, that’s a lot of support for the slime. The bike in question did in fact have a low tire, but we rode it as is. I’m going to fix it between hunts.

Why not use a plug? I’m sure slime is fine for an ATV but why not go the better route with a plug?

Slime plug kits are legit, don’t stay for a hurricane without them.
