do yotes count?
I guess, but from my understanding there is a considerable size difference. Also, do coyotes run in packs?

It is diff – I live in S Ont and yotes are an issue, I don’t hunt them but have friends and a cousin who are into it. They use predator calls (mojo distressed rabbit decoys etc) and still hunt w/ slugs/buckshot or rifles. Others do drives and hunt w/ dogs to push yotes to blockers. Like wolves they are really smart – they always see you but you don’t often see them – you have to trick them (decoy/distress call) or force them to do something they don’t normally do. Last yr my cousin and his padnahs killed 92 yotes in one county(parish)

I don't think I'd have any desire to kill a wolf. Unless it was messing something up or whatever.

Same here, but I know a lot of folks who do it. You can get guided wolf hunts in S.E. Ak. Just doesn't appeal to me.

They gave the moose hell in section 16b, had to close the season for non residents for a while (From what I understand), Buck killed a huge black one last season, is on his Facebook page

Wolves have caused extreme population drops of species
Such as elk mule deer and moose in certain places. Id shoot it for that reason
Wouldnt touch it thiugh cause they have nasty parasites that can cause cysts on the body

I'm not saying I'm against it. I don't have a dog in that fight. I'm just saying I probably wouldn't hunt them for sport. On the other hand lord knows I've participated in predator control before.

Fish and Game still don't know if it's the wolves or bears responsible for killing moose calves in that region. They have both brown and black bears, and have been leaning toward the bears as a large reason so many calves have been dying off.
Aerial wolf hunting was approved years ago in that region to thin out the population but didn't seem to have much of an affect on the moose problem. Aerial survey's are usually taken by supercub and are fairly inaccurate anyway.

Well whatever the reason, glad the numbers are improving, sent my deposit in this week, hope to get a moose in 2015, he also included a brown, a black and a caribou (however stated the caribou would be unlikely)
