Alexandria . Looking at making just a day trip down so my kids can get their fill of some Blue crabs.

Caught once. Best way to get rid of them is to shave one side of your sack. Pour alcohol on the other side. When they come running out you stab them with an ice pick

Was on grand isle last weekend. Set some traps in the bay, but it was very slow.

Try the "rollover" at Rockerfellow refuge in Cameron. They were catching a bunch there last weekend, but it was very crowded.

I feel like we should be asking you this.

I would go to hackberry and either get there very early or get there for the incoming tide. I like hog island gully personally and crab close to the bridge. I do best with beef melt and mullet fillets. Tie some to the dock but also Bring a rod and reel with a good weight and cast the melt or mullet towards the middle. Reel the crams in real slow when they get on it. Usually catch some hammers doing that. Throw some dead shrimp also and you will catch something
If you just want to catch a fish, go to the ramp under the Ellender bridge and chunk a dead shrimp out into the ship channel. You will catch something Probably nothing you want to eat but always a bunch of big drum hanging there and fun for the kids

If nothing is biting, holly beach is right down the road. It’s not Pensacola but its sand and waves. Good for finding seashells and can go east from there and ride the ferry across the ship channel. My kid always enjoyed that

Stab them with an ice pick near your private area! Interesting way of solving your problem, but I think I will find another route to go if I ever have that problem! Makes me cringe just the thought of it!

We wore them out Bigly this spring. I haven’t been in a couple months but a Padnuh went today and got 6 dozen and a couple reds.
