You didn't say where.

Exmark makes a good mower but in my opinion you can there are better available options.

Paying for the name buddy.

Look at Gravely, hustler, scag.

Difference between gravely and hustler is the color. So pick between orange/red or yellow.

Have owned ex Mark, and 2 gravelys.

I’d choose the latter unless you’re mowing 2x week and trying to win “garden of the month” every month.

I have no experience with any other brand. Everyone in my family rolls exmark (not sure why it started).

I'd def be open to other options. 60" min and wouldnt be opposed to 72". Will have 5 acres to cut weekly and probably another 1-2 acres added on top soon.

Hustler is made in Kansas. Gravely is made in Wisconsin. Hustler also makes Big Dog which is what I’m assuming you were referring to by pick a color. The BDs are cheaper and just as good as the Hustler

Owner/operator of a lawn service here...I’ve had great success running exmark. I have recently also been operating a scag and I would definitely recommend you look at those as well. Really can’t go wrong with any of
The major brands, and I have run pretty much every brand, it’s mostly about proximity to a dealership you can work with when it comes to maintenance.

One thing that caught my eye was the Ferris with the body suspension. Now, could that be a gimmick, sure but it has my attention. My yard isn't the smoothest and would definitely be a plus.

I only cut with one well over 10 years ago and it was a 1 time use. I can’t honestly tell you anything about that brand from personal experience, but I have read some good reviews about them.

Don't know where you are looking but there is an Exmark dealer in New Roads.

What location are you asking for. There's going to be dealers close by and they're all running some spring promos.

If you are close to New Iberia, go to Sammy Broussard. They have Kubota and Exmark. Ask for Lin. Bought my last two Kubotas from him. Good man and will shoot you strait on the Exmark.

I have a 72inch exmark diesel. Kubota engine. Older mower but make you a good deal.

I can't speak to the Ferris, but I have a Scag with the suspension seat. If the yard is rough I would definitely recommend suspension seat on whatever brand you buy.

And my Scag has been great for the 3 seasons I've had it. Cut 3 acre yard weekly and 2 acres around the cow barn bi-weekly.

Frame suspension will effect cut quality. Check out the Scag Cheetah Z, the entire operator platform is on suspension but the frame is not. This puts suspension where it needs to be w/o losing cut quality.

Cenla area but willing to drive almost statewide. Was also looking into finishing mowers as a possibility

Well regardless of brand, if it breaks down in the summer try not to cry when they say it will be four to six weeks for a repair. Grass grows pretty high in that amount of time.

Fortunately my dealership puts business owners back in action pretty quickly, but I also have enough equipment to always have a backup ready to go. With that said, break downs have been minimal with the exmark and scag other than simple fixes like a belt.
