Anybody own a Benelli M2?

So, I popped into Cabelas to look at some shotguns. Mostly going to look and handle a BPS. Tried the M2 in a 20 gauge flavor. Really, really liked it and I can get one that's a proper left handed version. What's the OB's thoughts on the M2? Good, bad, avoid at all costs?

Great gun. It's the gun that made me buy a benelli. I borrowed one from a buddy a few years back to make a duck hunt and loved it so much I bought a SBE2. Only reason I didn't get the m2 is because I thought I would shoot more 3.5" shells.

If I bought another beneli, that would be it. Currently have an m1 super 90.

Great gun for the youngins and the experienced hunter. Feels like shooting a pellet gun. My Fiance shoots one and I love it. Only gripe I have is the loading the shells in the tube is a little difficult. I might just need to take it apart and see whats going on in there.

Same here. Love my M1. I think the recoil spring is starting to get weak though. May add one of the Wolff 25%+ replacements this year.
I don't think you'd go wrong with the M2.

I have the m2 in 12ga and the stoger 3020 in 20ga. No trouble with either and like them both.

My gun is the M2 Super 90.
Great gun... feels really nice in hand and points well.
My brother borrowed mine a couple of years ago when his Beretta Extrema was in the shop... he said he shot really well with it.
Only problem is the 3" capacity but I don't hunt very much and rarely feel like I'm missing out by not having 3-1/2" shells.

Thanks for the info everybody. Looks like this will be my next gun purchase.

I have an M2 and turkeys, doves, and ducks have all fallen to it. I thought I may regret not having a 3 1/2" gun....never have really even missed that.
In fact, with Remington HyperSonics two weeks ago in Arkansas, I knocked a spoonie out at about 60 yards- everyone in the blind was shocked. Probably a bit of dumb luck- but it was cool nonetheless.
