I wouldn't do it everywhere, maybe kitchen, living, foyer. I'd imagine re-sealing every year or so is necessary. Also, kids heads gonna hurt when they bust it on the floor

sealing requires a man made closed loop mop with a bottle of sealer for about 1200 sq feet,, mainly in high traffic areas, aprox. every year.... very, very easy..

just pour sealer in a bucket,, get a big commercial mop with removable head on it,,, slop it around on the floor,,, voila..

nails left on slab will leave a mark,, cant be anything on it,,, worst part is where they use pipe oil to hook fireplace pipes together,,, thats the worst,,, but, yeah, pvc glue makes spots,, so does solder,,, everything does. you have to keep it covered up and make sure the plumbers dont frick it up..

You can save a decent amount of money on a new construction as opposed to conventional flooring.

in the beginning i swept 6500 sq ft every night, counting garages, and porches and worked my arse off keeping it covered later and then using a sheet rock knife and cutting the paper off the walls where i had it stapled. if i had found where you left purple cleaner on that slab,,, i would have had to pressure wash your guts off that slab...

I would only do it in a new construction with perfectly clean concrete.
I did a stain job in a couple rooms. Major pain the arse due to crap dropped on the concrete during original construction. Had to grind that crap out.
After weeks of struggling with it, it came out great. However, a couple years later, those place I grinded started discoloring. Looked like hell.
I finally covered it with a wood floor last year.
The pluses were, easy to clean, and most importantly, cool in the summer.
