I have done it on the last two houses I built as a cheap way to get a floor covering. I mixed cola and black and it came out great. The key comes in the sealer. The more coats you put, the better the result. And I think the major plus is the ability to cover it up easily. I decided I wanted wood floor in the living room and dining room and all I had to do was move the furniture out the way and set the floor.

Here's what happened to mine after about 3 years...

It was beautiful the first 2 years, then on the 3rd year, some funky white stuff started appearing from UNDERNEATH.

This is a spot that I had to grind crap off of the concrete before staining. (Slab is high and dry on sand...not a moisture issue).

we are a carpetless house, the best decision I ever made.

I like to get on floor and wrestle my two boys, so we have area rugs in their rooms and living area.

Everything I have heard when we considered the floors is what OG is saying, keep em clean and hire a guy that knows what he is doing, and get references both from recent work and older work.

If I have 10 friends that have done it, there are 5 that love them and 5 that don't. But as a previous poster mentioned, there is nothing to putting wood down if you hate em, just count it as a lesson learned.

unfortunately, I have seen a lot of people have trouble or become unhappy with them. I do like your door handles though, a little different than you see around here.

Is that door going into a bath, if so we have the same two half doors......I hate them with a flaming passion.

Once you experience having handles instead of knobs, you'll never go back. I love 'em!

Yes, I have similar handles, but we are limited on choices in my town.

Wish someone would invent a way to order stuff on the computer

Coastie, those milky looking spots are caused from moisture from the slab coming up or moisture under the wax.. If u want to know how to fix it, hit me sometime..

you don't mix the colors. you'll do a 50/50 mix of the water and cola, and spray that on. then come back with a minimum 90/10 of water/black as an overspray. then you clean it off to be sealed.

in regard to scouring, it's not that hard. doing a back patio to get some practice on cutting is the best way to go. i stained mine so that the concrete doesn't get stained with dirt. i did "runners" on mine (black stained cobblestones) amongst the cola on the back.

you want to set your saw to were it just nicks the lines on the surface, too deep and it'll hold dirt. most use 2x4s, i used some sort of white fiber board, similar to trim. it's machine cut so it's straight as an arrow.
