We only got 1 woodie and a speck (1st of year) this AM, north of Welsh.

Seemed like the weather would be perfect again but didnt see much besides some high flying flocks and kabillions of geese, but some specks actually worked to our awful calling.

any reports from today?

6 teal, 1 spoonie and 2 hoodies.

I shot like a storm trooper though, we should've limited by 9.

Been a horrible duck season, only twice have I shot limits all season (granted I didnt go but maybe5/6 times), and the people I've seen while working dont really have much either.

Kilt 2 grays today in Welsh. Slow season

Can you see the landfill from where you hunt?

tiger3434, same blind as when we went, just a slow season everywhere it seems like.

and I did talk to him, he said there's a waiting list already but didnt mention how long it was or anything. I know from personal experience he's taking deposits for next year from current leasees so there may be a few spots opening

not sure if the landfill view comment was for me, but I know I cant see it from our 2 blinds north of Roanoke, the one blind north of Welsh, going towards Fenton, I think we 're still a little too far north to see it, maybe can see it from the parking area
