Just going to post the some thing. All the box turtle sex I've watched was definitely NOT consensual.

I’m going with 3 toed box turtles. Pets are safe but them kang snakes in trouble.

It's a box turtle. Great pets if you have the right setup for them.

But, they can carry salmonella, so might want to be careful if you have young children. Or, just make sure everyone washes their hands well enough.

A girlfriend of mine used to have a pen with about six of them. The babies were no more than the size of a quarter. They look like small dinosaurs when eating. They would bite off pieces of cantaloupe and watermelon. They love vegetables and fruit. Also ground meat.

She released them when she found out it was illegal to confine them. They are property of the State of Louisiana.

They make a hell of racket in dry leaves. I’ve heard and saw them traveling while hunting for deer and squirrels.
