Frontier is plenty nice mid-tier production boat. It’s just the size and power difference that causes the price to be more for the Blackjacks. The frontier is 21 ft usually with a 150 sometimes with a 200. If they were to make a 24 ft Frontier it would be at the six figure mark well equipped with a bigger motor.

Poors model (Me) and upper crust model (everyone else on this site) model. Would sell my Kenner if Bill would make a 24’ frontier but he has a back log of 256 for north of $100,000.

Def need at least 24' IMO for coastal Mississippi.

Yea we smashed specs out of grand isle for 2 decades in a 17' predator.

I have a 24' bay boat and I love it, but my old man has an 18' Frontier and catches more fish than I do

This is where something like a blackjack or kencraft really stands out vs the basic boats. They are fishing boats that can be had with a head, jump seats and bow seating with little silver cup holders under the gunnel and padded back rests. Just enough comfort to cruise the wife and her girlfriends around a weekend or two a year to justify having it, and the rest of it built for day trips of killing fish.

A blackjack 256 coastal with a head and forward seating costs $150k for a reason. Its because you dont have to convince your wife that riding a bunch of drunk chicks around on bean bags and pissing in a bucket in a rolled gunnel boat is fun. A basic boat is excellent for a bunch of dudes who can bake in the sun all day, shite over the side, ride on the floor in the fish guts, and have a great time doing it. Not so great for 4 women and 6 kids going to the sandbar for the day.

You should consider a used 22’ Express. There’s a lot less maintenance not having a fiberglass hull. Plenty on the used market in your price range.

Those are great boats, but not for the area that OP is located

Maybe if it was for inside marsh and freshwater but not for open water gulf. No comparison on the ride of a 22 ft Xpress and a 22 ft glass bay boat.

I know of a 24 champion with new merc 250 power and very low hours that could be bought. Shop kept under a cover, very clean but that ugly yellow/black gel coat.
Will text him if there’s any interest.

we've had a 25 ltd Shearwater for 8 years. 2015 model.

awesome boat, no need for anything else.

seems like there are a ton of good bays now. just find the right deal and test it out. look for lowerish hours

look on both boattrader and thehulltruth marketplace

2400 Blazer Bay. It's the perfect boat for our area.
