I like a crawfish colored medium running crankbait. Brand don't really matter as long as it will run staight and I don't have to keep tuning. Run it into the riprap here in middle georgia and you will get a limit in a hurry!

I don't have much experience using a crankbait... Now that my boat is fixed up though I'm gonna start trying to learn the ins and outs of it.

Favorite strike on a lure? Gotta be a topwater, but a buzzbait is my personal favorite. Nothing like seeing a bass explode on one of those.

Bang it into rip rap, stumps, docks, etc. Make sure to get a lure retriever for those occaisonal hang ups

Use a crankbait that will run deeper than where you are fishing.

if it would produce....buzzbait, like scuba said, there is nothing more exciting than seeing a bucket mouth explode on a topwater bait

my bread and butter around here (lacassine national wildlife reserve) is a watermelon red fluke. weightless of course. i don't walk the dog with it, though....i fish it slowly making it work like it's supposed to

Had a pond in N.W. La. when I lived down there, Tiny Torpedo was my favorite. Devil Horse a close second.

This is the one! Watermellon Red. Two years ago I would have said tx, but after a one of my best trips to Toledo Bend years ago I've converted to wacky.

Money minnow (first to come to mind).

Anything in watermelon red, especially the baby brush hog, fluke, and trick worm.

recently picked up a yellow magic, but haven't had the right conditions to fish it

also developing a fondness for the Lake Fork Flipper in black neon.

watermelon red or june bug are my favorite colors in plastics. 70% of time i use plastics of some sort.

however, the KVD sexy shad series for crank baits is becoming a go to for me these days. i have been having good results with those.
