I haven't been since Saturday but both the Hammond academy and the Covington one had been picked clean of all the common pistol rounds. Some defensive rounds and some 357,38sp,380,etc were left.

It won't matter because they are going to limit everyone to 100 rounds of 5.56, and one magazine.
You are better served by going to Walmart if you want ammo. 7 am is distribution time here.

Posted by LSULEFTY GIF of the year! Seriously though, I drove all over town to find 9MM ammo to shoot last Saturday. Both Academy's, Wal-Mart, local Gun Shops were all out. Finally found some at Lafayette Shooters.

We went Friday night and all they had left was American Eagle for $15.95. We bought there last 6 boxes and shot them all on Saturday.

Tigerfoot, there is probably time...not a rush on dove loads. I will loan you a box if need be. 
However, there are very few 5.56 rounds to be purchased anywhere. And Academy limits the amount you can buy.

This is killing me too. I have a lot of ammo at my house because I buy when it is on sale or hand load. All these ammo whores who think it is now the new cool to see how much you can buy are driving the price up like there is no tomorrow.

They have some Hornady .223 ammo for 60 cents a round. They also have bulk 9mm, 45 ACP, and 22 LR.
