5 Slidell idiots caught illegally hunting ducks.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries announced Tuesday that its agents seized 36 ducks from the suspects - 55-year-old David Marshall, 49-year-old Charles Efferson, 42-year-old Michael Landry, 52-year-old Robert Landry and a juvenile.
All five were cited Saturday for hunting over bait in the Lake Catherine area. Robert Landry was cited for having an unplugged gun, while Michael Landry was cited for hunting with lead shot.
The department says each of the suspects could owe the state nearly $1,000 in civil restitution.

Why is there a difference between hunting without a plug, over bait, with lead shot and shooting Robins?
I have always hunted with a plug, never hunted ducks over bait but have shot with lead shot and killed a shite-ton of Robins. What's the difference?

They come in the box. Most if not all gun stores will assemble the gun with plug in place for you upon purchase. I recently took the plug out of my 20ga 870 since I have retired it to home defense. No law on how many shells it takes to kill a man, yet anyway.

I agree, I don't understand the anger either. If they killed 360 birds then, yes I would be outraged. Thirty-six and 5 hunters with lead shot is understandable given I've shot countless robins and my favorite way to hunt rabbits is with a headlight and pellet gun/.22.
Never bull-eyed deer and don't ever plan to, but there is something exciting and truly fun about walking the edges of pasture land at night and trying to catch the glint of a rabbit's eye, whether you're 12 or 40.
