Hornady

If the board hasn’t heard of this one. Apparently 1.5 times the energy of the 300blk made for the AR15 platform.

All these new hotness rounds are getting hard to keep up with. Still, and interesting concept.

I think it’s basically a 8.6 blk short.
Not really but kinda.

They took a 7.62 x39 (parent to 6.5 Grendel) a straightened it out the taper and necked up to .338.

ETA: I maybe misremembering as I’m sitting here with the flu.

I’m torn between going subsonic or just sticking with the Grendel. I plan to take the Grendel out to 700 this year. Two ends of the spectrum.

I’ve been back and forth so much. I’ve bought a 5.56 upper as insurance if something did go down, but no real need for the round.

Grendel is such a great under appreciated round that really fills my needs. I really want to build a 10-11” pistol Grendel.

I built a 6.5 Grendel a few years back and absolutely smack deer with that round.

Zero recoil to boot

you're going to need to establish a budget 1st.

Without that it's about asking about buying house without stating a budget, some will point to the Biltmore.

Currently there aren't many producing them. It's still very new.

Looking at the partners I would look at Noveske, B&T, Geissele first.

ETA: if it catches on, I'm sure that Sig will have one that fits their MCX Spear-lt. I have this gun in 5.56 and I absolutely love it. It's so nice shooting suppressed and not having gas in your face.

Almost like they copied the 338 Spectre that SBR produced.
