So can they be shot in the .32L? I'm really not sure but seem to remember reading the shorts and others could be fired in a .32L but not vice versa.

Had a friend that owned a .32 S&W snub...
Don't know what brand fmj's he had, but the rounds would only penetrate an oak fence post to flush with the rear of the bullet.
22's and 38's went in deep.

My dad just took my grandpas .32 special. It's an automatic. And I have no idea what kind it is. Pretty small gun. Could CC rather easy
