Been miserable here in Florida.. Past 3 mornings have heard 0 gobbles, weather has them weird 
Not to mention I missed one opening morning. No clue what happened, just flat out missed.

Had a hen in the tree, but managed to piss her off so she flew and landed in a tree right by me. She eventually flew down and then 2 minutes later these two come strolling in. Didn't act aggressively to my avian Jake but I have them both gobbling on film at 25-30 yards. They started to leave so I shot once and hit both

Congrats... Gonna be a tough year for me. Struck out on public land permits and no lease in Florida. May try some walk in public land sections and get a hunt in while in GA next week. Unless I get lucky this may be the first year in a while that I don't get a bird.

Im off to a unbelievable start this year. Killed a four year old opening morning, then two more the same week both of them two year olds, then Wednesday after work i went to some public land and killed one of the best birds ive ever gotten. A 24 lb. Gobbler with 11" beard and 1.25" spurs called him in to five yards strutting and drumming. I also called in a jake for my son! I can only kill one more and it will be fishin time. Called one up for my buddy yesterday morning. 9 3/4" and 3" beards, 1" Spurs. It was his first, and now he's hooked!
