Ya know, everyone carries a camera in their pocket nowadays. Pics or it didn’t happen.

Seriously though, glad someone caught them. You, me, and every other soul we talked to out there sure as hell didn’t.

My father and I were out there Sat morning. We managed a few bites. Tried frogs, creature baits, worms, flukes, and spinnerbait. Nothing worked! Only witnessed 2 fish caught by other boats. Weather was alright at first but damn it got cold when the wind picked up and the sun didn't come out. Saw dozens of boats either launching or driving there when we left around 1pm. Was not jealous...

I'll be returning next month in my kayak. I'm sure the weather will be much more tolerable by then. And hopefully will have a much better report.

Yesterday was my first trip ever over there. We threw frogs, flukes, senkos, and paddle tails. I even tried punching some of the thicker stuff when nothing else was working.

Yeah, yesterday was by far my worst trip there in the 10+ times I've gone. We've always caught more than a hand full on my slowest days out there. I'm gonna chalk yesterday up to the weather, and get back out there next chance I get. Hopefully it'll be warmer by then.

For me, the worst days to fish there are sunny clear sky no wind days. But even then will see or spook a lot of fish and can still catch something. Windy cloudy days are generally money for the way I like to fish that place. Don't remember ever not boating at least 1. That was weird.
Hope to make another trip out there, but my dad picked up a Burns pass so we'll be hitting that up too.

Some guys at the launch were weighing this one when I pulled out around 6. Making a show of it lol

It sucked... cold... windy as shite... caught one fish... a 7 pounder (released); but still tough fishing.

Will be headed out there tomorrow and Thursday afternoon (sun, warmth and calm winds)

The wind only bothers me when it’s freezing.

It wasn't the wind that was so bad. It was the temperature that was terrible. Its always windy out there when I go. I just set up so that the wind blows me in the general direction I want to go, and just use the trolling motor to straighten out when needed.
