man yall sure do hate on Jeep. I take Jeep for what it is. What pisses me off about them is their price point. you can buy a loaded fullsize truck for the price of a wrangler. I have been thinking about finding ma a newer model TJ with low mileage to replace my CJ. I love the CJ but the lack of A/c and something always needing fixing on the CJ is making my tired of owning it.

I cannot believe the price of the current JK's. and with the history of the v6 minivan engine they have, no thanks. I'll take a cj or tj any day and have a real jeep.

This. I had an issue with my TJ's cooling system a few weeks ago and spent a small fortune on repairs. My dad asked me the other night how much a new Jeep costs these days. He couldn't believe that they would be upwards of $30k for a mid level one.

I wanted to give up the search for a Wrangler after testing a bunch of TJs. Drove one JK, and it was on. Such a huge improvement.

if true i'll want to be one of the first in line.
my wife's 2012 is coming up on 125K miles so now would be a good time to trade it in

she's on her second 4-DR wrangler and i doubt we will ever buy her anything else. its a great vehicle with incredible re-sale value

Seems like that would be a go fast novelty. Having an 5.9 or 6.7 diesel iron block seems not very practical for an off-roader.

Bump, actual photo of JL leaked, ones in op are renderings

Control arms look very long and wheel wells/fenders appear to be able to fit very large tires, if thats a stock size tire

That doesn't change with a TJ. I have a 05 Rubicon with 50K miles on it when I finally got tired of fixing it and sold it. I miss it about 2 days a year.

Yes, there was a guy in Tulsa that did the swap when I lived up there. He had just worked all the bugs out when I met him. It was a friggin beast

Is there an easy way to figure out how old a Jeep engine is?

Yeah, DO NOT buy a jeep for its reliability. Buy it as a toy and be prepared for hefty repair bills once you get over 70k miles.

Damn, I literally just threw my radiator away about 2 weeks ago.

Only thing I have left is an upgraded D30 front axle and the auto trans(35k). if you need either hit me up

River Raider does diesel conversion on all models, they used to have a kit, I think it was like 15k, not including engine. But there is a lot that needs to be swapped out. for comparison sake my hemi conversion kit was 5k

I might. Do you remember that when I got under ours I found out no front drive shaft? I fear there's not one because of bigger issues.
