Post up the email when you're ready Pop. I have a couple of paddles that I've made plenty times that will give you ample opportunity to catch some fish.

You been lately BB? I went a week and half a go and water was crystal clear. There's been some serious wind since then though.

Went to Shell Beach weekend before last and the water was definitely clear. I work in Chalmette and passing the warm water canal it seems that the water is still relatively clear. I may make a run down there after work today just to take a look. I'm in the wife's ride today though, so don't have my yak

Do we need a list of all the people that said they were coming then aren't? They will be the same people that after the fact will talk about how they will be at the next one...

I think so, one of the reasons for the thread...

Pretty sure McCringleBerryy and I will be there. I have a relative that lives 15 min from the launch, so we will be staying there Friday night. We will likely fish Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

Here's a high res map of the area, Sweetwater is in between Serigne's and The End of the World Marina

Not sure if this link will work if you're not a member, but here it is if you want to zoom into the map LINK

I can bring whatever is needed. If we wanted to cook at the Delacroix Lodge, they'll have charcoal grills available there. (I have no idea what they have at Sweetwater as it's too rich for my blood).

Here is a pic of the covered area right across from Delacroix Lodge that we could use if we want.

ETA: I will definitely have an ice chest full of White Cans.

Perhaps if someone is down there in the next week they can scout the facilities at the other place...

I'll ride down there after work one day this week and take some pics. I know the sweetwater cabins are raised and there's plenty of room under them. Not sure about seating and tables and such there. It's only a 20 minute drive from where I'm working.

i'm leaving pretty early Friday morning. i'm going to take my time getting over there pulling over to check tie downs and hatches often. (I lost my front hatch somewhere this weekend, pretty pissed about that)

looks like a 4.5 hour drive taking my time. I may or may not take i10 through the basin. it would be just my luck to get caught in some major wreck on that particular day. we'll see

aiming to be there a right around noon.

Lauw I am going to email you my contact info. I talked to Deacon last night and we are both still on for a noon arrival as well.

I think I might just rent a truck from enterprise or borrow my FIL Silverado so I dont have to worry about hauling my rig on top of my Tahoe. Never done it before and I dont want to take any chances.

I really should try to get some good tie downs one day. I've been hauling mine all over in the back of the F-250 just tied in with some paracord.
