Google is telling me that taking 49 to Lafayette, then on to 90 will add about 45 minutes 
Add that in with eating breakfast and I think I will be there well past noon.

I missed that part. The biggest obstacle is Baton Rouge. Maybe look at Hwy 77 to bypass BR, cross the Sunshine Bridge, pick up 10 to NOLA than you're home free.
Taking 90 to Morgan City to the West Bank still makes you to through downtown NOLA and is way out of the way, IMO.

What time is everyone arriving? I'm coming in from offshore in the morning. flying into houma, then driving to delacroix lodge to pick up my buddies boat. i can't stay long but I'll sit around & drink a beer if anybody is down there at that time.

Alright, I'm loaded up and ready. Got the jambalaya pot, burner, and paddle. Got my boat loaded down with all my fishing gear and hooked up to my truck with the battery charging. Clothes packed, and went get Off, Yard Guard, sunscreen, beer, oatmeal cream pies, and water. Soundsystem is loaded, iPod is synching, and beer is cooling.

I have an appointment at 11am and am leaving the office after that, making a quick run home to kiss my babies, load up the ice chest, and hit the road hopefully by 12:30. Hopefully this is a 30 min appointment and not a 2 hour appointment.
