With a new location to fish, good people to hang out with, good food and drink to be ate and drank, it will be my loss if I don't make it. Hopefully I can get away for the weekend

You have obviously never fished with me. I will muster up the courage to get out of bed.

Tyrone is coming?

He will be the one that knocks up the Chalmatian working the Marina in Cajun reeboks.

I am scheduled to come in from offshore on the 30th & I am planning on going to my buddys camp in delacroix to pick up his boat & drag it back to my house. I might stop by if you guys are doing something around the time that I will be passing through.

FYI - The HT Elite Series out of Biloxi is May 29, 30 & 31st. 90% of the field will be running back to the delacroix area to fish. Anybody in a yak needs to be careful out there.

I have OLD school maps of the area were reefs are that date back to the 1960's. Fishing holes that people forgot. Besides that, one of my brothers fish down the a couple times a week. The big trout are just starting to show out.

It shouldn't be within 4 miles of the launch. There is so much fishing area out there, I don't see them coming in that close.

I'll probably head toward Lery from Delacroix Lodge. That should keep me completely out of the boat traffic. The only place I've ever seen it bad down there is right around Sweetwater.

Artificial:

I use the following:
Gold Weedless Spoon
Matrix Shad w/ or w/o Cork
Vudu Shrimp w/ or w/o Cork
Inline Spinner

Live:

Kahle Hooks
Corks
Skrimps
Cocahoe/Croaker

I rarely use live bait until I've thrown everything in the tackle box. Because of that, I rarely use live shrimp or minnows. Usually just carry some market shrimp in the cooler.

I fish strictly artificial out of a yak:
Gold weedless spoon
Super spook jr in bone color
Cocahoes
Weedless frog. I personally use a buzzbait frog.

95% of the fish I've caught have been on the gold spoon

I've caught most of mine on the matrix shad on a 3/8 oz. jighead. Just pulling it through the channels leading into the marsh. The specs tear those bastards up. I killed them in Shell Beach two weeks ago.
