Tic I will tell you when you start having to fix the little things that happen on trucks of this age look hard for motor craft when available. I have wasted a ton of time dealing with shitty replacement parts that don’t work worth a shite from the after market side of parts.
Thanks. Right now, Everything works great. I flushed the radiator day 1 and replaced coolant. Runs like a top. I'm not winning any races with this motor though.

Where’d you find it? My son is looking at 90s trucks and I’m just hesitant I don’t want him getting something he’ll constantly be putting money into to fix.
What is a reasonable mileage for used 90s trucks that aren’t Toyotas?

If you ever want to remedy that, once upon a time Summit had pieced together a kit that the guys on PowerNation put together to get 522 horses and close to 600ft-lbs of torque out of it. The kit still exists on their site, but has long showed “out of stock.” There’s a drop down of what parts were included in the kit, and the main piece missing is the turbo. Everything else is still available. So you would just have to find a comparable turbo and you’d have yourself one helluva sleeper. LINK

It appears to have been taken care of. If you continue to do so it will last forever.
And its a truck that many repairs can be done yourself in your driveway.
Congrats on a good looking truck.

Back in the day I had an '89 F250 with the 4.9 and a manual tranny.
Man that think could pull. I loved that truck.

That 300 inline 6 will never die, it's science.
