That Kimber looks fantabulous. I don't think the point of this thread was to tease us with awesome 1911s.

I still like the modern guns more, but that is a sweet rig you are running.

I am completely astonished we just went two pages without me being called a liar.

I really do love this board. It's a special place.

I would be lying if I said I would hug a target and let ten snipers head shoot it...from any yardage.

Okay, while I still feel there is a lot of wisdom in some this guy's videos, I decided to go to his forum and ask for his opinion on CZ handguns. (I am a fan.)

He responded that they are "fragile" and "not a good choice for a serious weapon".

The guy sounds like he's commissioned by glock. Ask him about a glock and i bet he creams his pants.

Apparently 9 year old girls have bigger stronger hands than me because i dont like the feel of a glock.

You were issued a 1911? Pretty sweet if so.

Well, I inherited a G26, and I think its a very nice weapon. I know Glocks have earned their reputation for being dependable, and quite frankly, the Glock company has influenced and transformed the industry with their designs in a big way.

But I just can't stand it when "experts" get so wrapped up in a brand or a particular weapon system, that it blinds them to the history and postive qualities of alternatives to it.

CZ, Sig, Walther, HK, etc have world wide established reputations as uber reliable and effective combat and LE weapons. Ignoring that destroys the credibility of his opinion on handguns, I think.

You're thinking about it in the wrong way. Anticipated misuse is the key. Most bad things happen when someone is doing something they should not be doing. It's pretty much a cornerstone of products liability.

Because of what I do, I can't even watch children play anymore. All I see is blood.

I see your point. I cringe at muzzle discipline from some people. I was fortunate enough to experience an accidental discharge inside a vehicle once. Cloud of Dust and a WTF Moment. I remember saying, "Tell me that just didn't happen."

If I am pulling the Glock out of the holster, I am shooting it or cleaning it. It was the first semi-auto pistol I ever owned. My father had a PPK, 92F, 1911, S&W 1006, and Hi Power. I liked the Glock over all of them.

What is going to happen when Glock designs the ultimate hybrid 1911? I'm talking a true morphadike mix between a DAO and the traditional 1911. The grapevine says this is in the works for the 2014 shot show.

Then Mr Affliction will claim it to be the greatest since it has glocks name on it.
