I could not begin to imagine the pain this father is going through. Shoot safe everyone.

I wouldn't be able to hunt after that.

The pain and regret that father probably feels is unimaginable.

I still just can't understand how this happens.

Me neither.

I'm not sure I'd feel like hunting without my son if anything ever happened to him but I don't know if I'd be able to live if I was at fault.

Prayers sent to the family. This is god awful to hear. I doubt I'd find the will to live if my son died at my hands.

anyone know full story? did he shoot him while hunting thinking he was a deer? Or did he fall and gun go off? Or loading in truck and shot?

I just don't understand how a grown man could do that.

Sad situation.
Not sure if I could go on living if I killed my own son over some bs stupid mistake.

As a dad who hunts with my son every time I hit the woods, I don't see how this could happen.

And like others have said, I don't know if I could live with myself.

In all honesty this is why I don't hunt WMAs or public lands. You just never know what some folks think or do or how safe the other guys are. So sad. So, so so sad.

I'll never understand why someone would be so anxious to shoot something that they aren't fully aware of the target before pulling the trigger.

Being able to hunt again should be the very least of the father's concerns.

I hunt with my oldest boy almost every trip I make. We are constantly communicating through text. Neither of us leave the stand with out the other knowing. That being said, I can't understand how a grow man can be irresponsible enough to fire a round without being 100% certain what he is shooting at knowing he has his kid in the woods with him..

Take the kid out of it.

Who shoots into brush? Was he scared for his life? Thought it was a puma? Probably wasn't a doe day. Wtf
