They grab it by the mouth and pull it up. Supposedly alligators don't bite underwater. Can't confirm though.

That's what my dad said he heard from the old timers.

On tv, I've seen them grab them by the mouth in the swamp and bring them to the surface by pulling up on their mouth.

You can hold a 15' alligators mouth shut with 2 fingers

They don't have big muscles that open the mouth. But when they close it, you can't open it

A hood, some thick arse string, and rotten arse chicken. Its prety easy, been doing it for about 15 years and it aint nearly as tough as the show makes it seem.

My brother and a friend of his killed a 10'6" gator Saturday. They used all of the bullets on the other gators they killed and had to use a hatchet to kill that bad boy. Saw the feet off of it and they looked as big as huge oven mitts.

I should scan some of my 35mm pics of when we used to gator hunt. I have one in my office that I took in black and white. We arranged four gators and put their arms on each other then propped their mouths open with bud light cans

I'd love to go hunt some gators on Clear lake up here. That place is eat up with them. We were frog gigging out the one time in our pirouges and I got the bright idea of trying to pet one. I paddled up to this little one out in the channel and it turns out he wasn't so little. I got way to close for comfort and when that big sum bitch submerged there was a rooster tail coming off that pirouge.
